Buxton Against War was founded in October 2002.

Mission Statement

1. We are an independent pressure group campaigning around a single issue.
2. We are not a political party, nor do we aim to be, neither are we associated or attached in any way to a political party or group.
3. We are affiliated to Stop the War Coalition and accept the aims and objectives laid down.
4. Following the objectives of STW we exist to campaign against the "War against Terror".
5. We are guided by STW strategy but make our own decisions, modifying or adapting initiatives to suit local conditions.
6. We aim to make links between the national campaign and local people who feel strongly that it is necessary to make their voice heard.
