A gig was held at Watson’s café bar on Hall Bank on Saturday in support of the Anti War Demonstration in London. “We are absolutely against the war” said the organiser of the benefit. A number of local bands gave their time and energy to provide a wonderful evening’s entertainment. “It was an absolute sell out, and we are very appreciative of the unstinting generosity of all those who gave their time and talents.” Proceeds from the gig will go towards supporting the Buxton Against the War campaign and CD’s of the music performed are now available.
